Dear Climate Healers,

In a speech at Chatham House in April 2024, the UN Climate Chief, Simon Steill, said,

“Two years to save the world…

Good afternoon,

Some of you may think the title of today’s event is overly dramatic. Melodramatic, even.

So let me start by explaining briefly why the next two years are so essential in saving our planet.

First, we know the stakes. You’ve heard me talk before about record shattering heat and massive damage to economies, and how there’s no room for half measures. Let’s take all that as a given.

Second, we are at the start of a race which will determine the biggest winners in a new clean energy economy.”

While I don’t normally agree with the UN Climate Chief as he bases his worldview on a skewed, three-tiered CO2 emissions accounting convention that is political, not scientific, I do agree with him that time is running out on the urgent task of reversing the ecological crises we face today and that there is no room for half measures.

Due to this skewed worldview, the UN Climate Chief is missing out on Veganism coupled with rewilding as the most amazing solution to all of our environmental, social and spiritual challenges. Its efficacy dwarfs that from the race to a new clean energy economy that he is championing.

Veganism is defined as a way of living that seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of animals for food, clothing or any other human purpose.

However, Veganism is not just a lifestyle. Veganism is the fastest growing social justice movement in the world today, not just in the defense of animals, but also in defense of marginalized people and our beleaguered planet.

Through the documentaries, The Human Experiment, Cowspiracy, What the Health, The End of Medicine, etc., we have thoroughly debunked the prevailing myth that the exploitation of animals is a normal, natural and necessary evil for human well being. Therefore, Veganism is now a moral imperative.

Veganism coupled with rewilding is an amazing solution that can mitigate all six planetary boundary transgressions and all three major environmental problems identified by the UN: biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and climate change.

As a systems engineer, I’m in awe of Nature. Nature is a perfect system design and as an integral part of that perfection of Nature, we have been offered this simple solution to our existential crisis on a Vegan platter.

Isn’t it high time that we, the people, adopt it, even if the UN and other mainstream institutions keep barking up the wrong tree?

Towards that end, we will be hosting our 18th quarterly Vegan Convergence Of the Peoples (V-COP18) next weekend, July 27-28.

During V-COP17, we exceeded the limits of our Zoom license and we also attracted Zoom bombers, proving that we are finally getting through to the mainstream. Therefore, we have increased the capacity of our Zoom license for V-COP18 and we will be sending the Zoom link to all registrants on Friday, Jul 26, for security reasons.

Also for security reasons, we will be closing our V-COP18 registration link at midnight US Eastern time on Friday, Jul 26th.
