“Almost everything is better today than it was, except the environment” – Jeff Bezos.

Dear Climate Healers Family,

Jeff Bezos appears to have gone berserk! Having stoked consumption and commodification as social logic to the point where the Earth’s life-support systems are literally on life-support in the planetary Intensive Care Unit, he is now promoting space and the Moon as the logical next place to expand the industrial human enterprise.

Currently, the industrial human enterprise is like the caricatured “fat, sick and nearly dead” American: bloated with waste, suffering from chronic diseases and kept alive through technological means. A holistic intervention such as the Planet B systems engineering framework would help both the industrial human enterprise and the caricatured American slim down and find their true purpose of fostering life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Instead, Mr. Bezos wishes to continue the Caterpillar’s growth as the master objective and expand onto the Moon for data centers and other waste producing industrial enterprises. Presumably once humanity expands onto the Moon and engineers a living environment there, Mr. Bezos and his billionaire friends would have a place to call as home once the Earth’s life-support systems are completely destroyed and the rest of us can’t even breathe.

We all know that nothing in life grows forever. If we continued to grow the way we used to in our infancy, we would all be a hundred feet tall at the end of our lives. Instead, Nature wisely ends our growth upon reaching adulthood. Likewise, we are called to end the growth of the industrial human enterprise as we mature into our adulthood as a species.

The Planet B systems engineering framework requires us to end growth as a master objective and go Vegan as quickly as possible in order to restore the health and vitality of the life-support systems of our planet. It is truly naive to think that Nature intended for us to dominate and abuse all the other species on Earth for our well being. No scripture ever said that and it is only through selective reading and misinterpretation that we built our human enterprise on the backs of innocent animals. Now, we can either go Vegan, or we can go berserk and expand the human enterprise onto the Moon as Jeff Bezos wants.

The choice is ours.
