Many thanks for your kind invitation.
I won’t be able to participate, because I don’t think it’s useful to set different climate solutions at odds with each other. I’ve been privileged to get to work on many parts of this dilemma, including providing a little help on questions around food and agriculture; I’m very grateful for those who focus on those things, just as I’m sure you’re grateful for the folks who focus on coal and gas and oil. I prefer to save whatever slight debating abilities I may have for taking on adversaries, not colleagues.

Dear Mr. McKibben,
Thank you for your response and for your good wishes. As your colleagues, we too desire to build “a future that is just, prosperous, equitable and safe from the effects of the climate crisis.” We too desire a future for our children and grandchildren in which the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere has been reduced to a safe value of 350 ppm or less from the present dangerous level of about 420 ppm.
We are also sympathetic to the idea that it is too late to do anything but everything. When we do everything, we need to follow implementation protocols based on good science and solid systems engineering. Since the Climate Healers Animal Agriculture position paper states that “we need to transition to a plant-based economy first …. eliminating fossil fuel usage first will accelerate the warming of the planet,” could you please forward our invitation to one of your scientific advisors who can explain your position to focus on fossil fuel elimination first?
Since the planet has already warmed by 1.24 degrees C from pre-industrial levels, and any acceleration of warming through a misplaced priority in implementing climate solutions might tip the world over the critical 1.5 degrees C global-warming threshold, we would like to better understand your position and reconcile it with that of Climate Healers. The future of our children and grandchildren depends on what we do today.
Our fierce love for the children of all species compels us to get this done right.

Posted at 10:03h, 29 JuneTry contacting Mike Popok who champions justice and may be open to give you a voice on his very popular YT podcast called The meidastouch.
He gets hundreds?of thousands of views and may be another stream into reaching a different audience not yet aware of the imminent need to transform the current agriculture failure to one that promotes life. Worth some effort I think.
I happened upon him on YT and appreciate his candor . At least give him a listen and contact him or write comments under his podcast . The most ignored threat to ” homeland security” is a deformed food system that brings the opposite of the intent of nutrition!

I continue to post your climate position paper on Facebook and share with anyone who will listen, Sadly, not many seem to understand the true impact of our addiction to eating an entirely unnecessary product is causing. Like Mr McKibben, they don’t seem to understand the relation of what they eat and how simple modifications of our diet can have a massive impact on reducing greenhouse warming gasses and slowing our coming demise. When we adopt a plant based vegan diet, we are taking a simple step that will give us more time to transition from fossil fuels.

Posted at 19:46h, 29 JuneMr. McKibben and other notables like Bill Gates refuse to acknowledge the huge impact of animal agriculture on our climate catastrophe because they don’t want to change their meat-dairy-fish centered diets. Period, end of story.

Posted at 01:37h, 30 JuneA child (our Earth) sits almost drowning in a bathtub as the “burning machine” pours water (fossil fuels and exhaust) into the tub. Meanwhile the “killing machine” (animal agri-torture) is clogging the drain exacerbating the crisis. By unclogging the drain, having enough people go plant based, we can immediately stop the threat of drowning while implementing energy alternatives and getting the baby out of imminent danger.
